The Top 3 Excuses CEO's and C-Suite Executives Make For Allowing Bad Decisions
๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคจ 1. It's a political decision - Really? You mean you considered all the constituents, the impact on social objectives, and made the best decision to serve the greater good?
๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ 2. They get sh$% done - This one doesn't fool anyone. Decent, ethical people get stuff done too.
๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” 3. They are good technically - This one is fascinating to me. Organizations need lots of good individual contributors. And most of the time when someone gets promoted beyond their skill set it's too hard for the leadership to shift them back into a better suited role even though times the person wants to go back to that role because they don't want to be a leader. Not all technical gurus can or want to lead. And that's okay!
